Remember last summer when I went on a delicious BBQ tour around Kansas City? Well it should have been a major clue then that I am totally obsessed with smoked meat and barbecue sauce. I thought that this weekend would be the perfect time to introduce you to my Smoky Barbecue Ribs and homemade sauce given that it’s a holiday weekend! I’m sure many of you have plans to visit with family and friends and this is the perfect recipe for a group. A group that loves barbecue. And wine.

Yes, wine with barbecue. The perfect combination. Seriously! I’m super excited about my new partnership with Banfi Wines, one of the largest wine importers here in the US. Given that I’m so in love with delicious wines, it really is a match made in heaven. I’m really excited to be working on some new food and wine pairings that can’t wait to share them with you over the next couple of months.

My first post with Banfi pairs their delicious Riunite Lambrusco with Smoky Barbecue Ribs. I love that this wine is light in flavor and slightly sweet; the perfect combination with my spicy barbecue sauce.

Head on over to the Banfi Wines blog to learn more about why this combination works and to get the recipe for my Smoky Barbecue Ribs!
